Pension Plan Structure and Text
The Nova Scotia Teachers’ Pension Plan was created by an act of the Legislative Assembly in 1949. The Nova Scotia Teachers' Union and the Province of Nova Scotia agreed to a joint trusteeship of the pension plan which came into effect April 1, 2006. Under joint trusteeship the Trustee of the Fund is the Teachers’ Pension Plan Trustee Inc.
